Overview:
This is a senior leadership role within a fast-growing wealth management firm covering both retail and high net worth (HNW) clients. The Head of Financial Planning will be responsible for developing and leading the firm’s advice proposition – defining house views, managing P&L, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving commercial growth.
The ideal candidate will have a blend of strategic leadership, regulatory expertise, and experience leading and growing regulated advice teams.
Key Responsibilities:
• Leadership & Strategy: Lead the advice business with full P&L accountability; define the firm’s core “house views” and advice framework.
• Commercial Growth: Develop and deliver new advice propositions, drive client growth, and enhance profitability.
• Regulation & Governance: Act as SMF; ensure adherence to FCA regulations, including Consumer Duty and governance.
• Team Management: Lead and mentor advisors, fostering a client-first, high-performance culture.
• Operational Excellence: Streamline advice delivery, ensure quality control, and collaborate with tech teams to optimise tools and systems.
Experience & Qualifications:
• 10+ years’ senior leadership in regulated financial advice / wealth management.
• Strong commercial and P&L management track record.
• Deep understanding of FCA regulation and digital / robo-advice.
• Minimum Level 4 qualification (IAD / Regulated Financial Planning); Level 6 preferred with active SPS .
